It’s been a while since I last did a photoshoot with one of the students in OU’s VisComm school. Patrick McCue, the photographer for this shoot, hit me up on Facebook one day and asked if I’d be interested in taking part in what turned out to be a really fun project. While he contributed his immaculate photography skills and direction, I brushed the dust off my artistic eyes and had some fun with wardrobe and make-up.
The shoot was for one of his classes, and the assignment was to duplicate the style/shoot of a magazine and create a cover and one of the pages of the magazine with the photos from the shoot. He chose Z!nk Magazine, a NYC style magazine that merges street smart style with high fashion. So we went for t-shirts, relaxed outfits, and tights galore. We tried to incorporate a lot of movement and attitude, and I think we’ve succeeded to capture that and the youthful radiance that the Z!nk shoot encompasses.
