Topshop finally opened its New York flagship store today at 10:50 a.m., scheduled time 11 a.m., to a line of giddy and zealous fashionistas, which twisted all over the Soho streets.

Britt Aboutaleb reported on the event for Fashionista.com and described the crowd’s enthusiasm and grand opening perks. This well-organized event distributed coffee and gift-cards to attendees, as many run around in Godspeed to pick up their favorite collection piece. Designers like Christopher Kane stood alongside his pieces. Topshop CEO Sir Philip Green was also present, granting interviews to reporters who desire it and watching the enthusiasm of the shop’s U.S. fans in action.

I’m personally pumped on this grand opening because this store will be my first shopping destination on my next trip to the Big Apple. Too bad I lucked out of the gift cards giveaways.
